Nothing To Do and earn Money
“How would you like to discover how to rake in $5,000 to $25,000 monthly, from the most lucrative market on the planet, without working and just by sitting at home watching TV?”
It’s hard not to be interested in an offer like this, particularly when it comes from a website with the attractive name of megawealthmillionaire.com. It offers “a revolutionary concept which blends the lucrative property foreclosure market with the very latest wealth creation techniques, to produce an exceptionally potent hybrid business model”.
Er, right. But what does this actually mean? Well, the claim is that you could easily earn more in the next 12 months than you have earned in the past 12 years. But how?
Mention of the property foreclosure market might prompt you to assume that you buy homes at knock-down prices from sellers who can no longer afford their mortgage repayments. Wrong. It seems you can make a fortune without buying a single property.
The real aim appears to be to join the scheme and then recruit others, taking a slice of the fee they pay on signing up. This way, the website says, you can make about £1,000 from everyone you recruit.
In fact, this is exactly what Megawealthmillionaire itself seems to be doing – you don’t actually join Megawealthmillionaire; it’s a recruiter for something called the Advanced Cashflow VIP Academy. This company, true enough, does offer information on property deals, but also emphasises the money to be made by recruiting others.
Megawealthmillionaire is run by Simon Johansson – but this has not always been his name. He was previously Simon John Hill, from Barnsley.
Under his original name, Hill ran a scheme called Armchair Tycoon. He invited investors to stump up £3,330 for websites that in theory could be used to sell various goods and services, but in practice were used to sell yet more websites, with Hill taking a slice of the proceeds each time.
He also marketed membership of AGM International. This promised to set you up with an internet business, including a computer. When the computers failed to arrive, Hill heaped all the blame onto an Israeli associate, but kept his commission.

I have heard that spanish is easiest. What you should do is learn a language that is spoken around you. Around my town, spanish is popular. In Canada, french is popular. I mean, it wouldn't do you any good to learn Italian and the people around you speak spanish as their second language. It will help you in the job market too, nice perk on the resume.

Sunday’s New York Times reported that Obama plans to take a greater role in drafting the legislation by giving speeches, holding town halls (first one is Thursday in Green Bay), and meeting more with congressional lawmakers. As we’ve written before, the two big issues to resolve: whether reform will contain a public option (a la Medicare and Medicaid), and how Washington will pay for it (taxing the rich or taxing health-benefit plans?). Obama devoted his weekly Saturday address -- even while he was overseas -- to the topic of health care. “All across America, our families are making hard choices when it comes to health care,” he said. “Now, it’s time for Washington to make the right ones. It’s time to deliver.” However, Sen. Chuck Grassley (R), the ranking member of the Senate Finance Committee took offense to Obama’s radio address. “Pres Obama you got nerve while u sightseeing in Paris to tell us ‘time to deliver’ on health care. We still on skedul/even workinWKEND,” he said via Twitter, later adding: “Pres Obama while u sightseeing in Paris u said ‘time to delivr on healthcare’ When you are a ‘hammer’ u think evrything is NAIL I'm no NAIL.”

Technology Talk about more Learning
Talk of technology quickly turns into talk of power. Who has it (power)? By what means did they attain it? By what means do they hold it? What are they attempting to do with it?
Technology embodies ideologies, and the choices made by its designers influence what its users will be able to do (or not do).
Learning management systems (LMS) - in contrast with personal learning environments / webs / networks - enable certain approaches to learning while discouraging others. An LMS also supports and fosters a certain relationship between the educator and the learner.
The ability to open or close a discussion forum or to grant and deny course access is fundamentally imbued with power. It is little surprise, therefore, that governance and public engagement are influenced by technology.
Open tools will produce open conversations and open thinking.
Public Engagement. Public Empowerment addresses the relationship between tools / technology, ideology / governance, and power:
Direct engagement in politics has been the purview of an educated and powerful few until recent times. Indeed, the role of the politician, and the executive that serves him or her has largely been to tell us, the sheep-like masses, what is good for us and to expect us to blithely follow along.
We change our minds only in the face of corruption and excess, and exercise our democratic rights to switch to a lesser evil at times of election. But oh, my! How the world has changed.
…In a hyperconnected world, our ability to readopt these denser forms of association, made sustainable by tools such as social networks, become reality.
We become the true global village, as much the neighbor to the bloke next door as some geographically remote but by association, close, neighbor with whom we share an interest.

If you can’t write 50 great headlines in the five minutes after reading this I am going to cut your ring finger off with a jagged piece of broken tempered glass… or something to that effect.
3. Convey the idea that the main benefit is somehow ‘unique’.
This is one of the oldest sales gimmicks in humanity and it’s no different from online blogging and content generation.

Online Video Companies Raise Over $75 Million In VC Money In The Past 60 Days
For all the talk of the poor economy and how tight VCs are being with their money, companies tied into the online video space still seem to be having no problems getting funding. A quick roundup of funding announcements over the past sixty days shows that more than $75 million has been raised and I'm sure there are a few I missed that would make the number even higher.

There still seems to be quite a lot of interest by VCs in companies that are somehow tied into the online video market in some shape or form. And while the cost of entry is relatively low to get into the market, I have to wonder just how many VCs have a really good handle on the size of the market for the company they are investing in and how much market share that company can truly grab. Companies need to be able to show very quickly that they can stand on their own and deliver a very clear and compelling message to the market at a time when it is crowded with many similar companies.
While I do think money has dried up for those looking for some cash to simply experiment with an idea, for those who have something they can show as a real product, the money still seems to be easy to come by. Last month, NewTeeVee Live had a panel of VCs talking about this very idea and you can see the video archive here.
